Brief Introduction

Our goal is to increase awareness of disabled communities and their issues around the world and to promote rights of disabled people. In accepting DPI's Statement of Purpose, we hope to work towards eliminating all kinds of wrongdoings and injustices done to the world's six million disabled people. In our efforts, we want to connect to all respective member countries and their organizations for disabled people and we strongly believe our collective efforts will enable us to achieve our goal.

With the above goal in mind, member countries of the Asia-Pacific Region of DPI - China, Japan, Korea and Mongolia - agreed to cooperate and strengthen the relationship further in our meeting in Jeju, Korea(October 2003).

We would like to continue on our agreement from Jeiu, Korea and develop ideas and increase awareness towards bringing rights of the world's six million disabled people. In doing so, we hope to participate in creating and maintaining world peace and become a vehicle for change.
