Post-doc researcher to work on the EC funded study: Challenges and Good Practices on the Implementation of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in Europe, f/m.

Job Description

Maastricht University is a key partner in the research project Challenges and Good Practices on the Implementation of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in Europe and will host one of the two researchers who will carry out the bulk of the research for the project. The project's objective is to provide help and long-term guidance to Member States, the EC and various stakeholders on implementing the UN Convention. The study will involve a detailed analysis of the obligations set out by this international treaty, as well as gathering information on the various practices in implementing the UN Convention, from a legal and practical viewpoint, identifying challenges and measures to help achieve the UN Convention's objectives.

The researcher, who will have an excellent knowledge of EC institutional and substantive law, will contribute to i.a. the following tasks:

The researcher will work closely with a second researcher specialised in the UN Convention, and with a research team and academic reference panel.
