Regional Specialist (Disability-inclusive Development) (Overseas-Based Staff Position)

The Australian Agency for International Development (AusAID) is responsible for the management of Australiaโ€™s international development program. AusAID is seeking a Specialist, Disability-inclusive Development to be based in Suva.

Australiaโ€™s strategy, Development for All โ€“ towards a disability-inclusive Australian aid program 2009-2014 (2009-2014) aims to ensure that people with disability are included in and benefit equally from Australiaโ€™s development assistance.

The Specialist will play a critical role in supporting implementation of the strategy, providing technical advice; building awareness and understanding of colleagues and partners on disability-inclusive development; participating in monitoring and evaluation and contributing to AusAIDโ€™s continued international leadership role on disability-inclusive development.

The position will be offered initially on a two-year contract with the potential for extension. Please note this is not an Australian Public Service position.
