Program Report: First National Women with Disabilities (WWDs) Mehndi Competition 2013
Organized by Estanara Institute at Estanara Institute, Jamshed Road Centre, Karachi on 26 June, 2013
Estanara Institute with the coordination & cooperation of DPI-Pakistan organized First National Mehndi Competition 2013 among Women & Women with Disabilities in an Inclusive Environment.
Estanara Institute is registered by Sindh Technical Employment Vocational Training Authority (STEVTA). We give certified beautician & computer training to all needy women with nominal cost but free of cost to Women with Disabilities (WWDs).
The Pakistanโs population is approximately 200 Million out of which 15% of the population live with disabilities (According to WHO), and frequently encounter a myriad of physical and social obstacles. Womenโs population in Pakistan is 55% out of which 15% WWDs. To empower women, we give beautician training specially free for WWDs. WWDs have an opportunity to earn easy money in their home after get training of Beautician not such highly qualification require for this training. Empowering women means empower the society. To make healthy competition and develop competition skilled among Women & WWDs, we organize First National Mehndi Competition.
All over Pakistan cross disability WWDs participated and show their talents. Cash prizes amongs the winners and Certificates were distributed to all participants. This event helps to highlight their skill and talent of WWDs and awareness in community through print & electronic media.

2. Second Position Ms. Fatima (Hearing Impaired)
3. Third Position Ms. Farhat (Hearing Impaired)

1. First Position Ms. Aqsa
2. Second Position Ms. Ghazala
3. Third Position Ms. Savera
Special Prize given to Ms. Sonia (Intellectual Disability)
All Participants and audience enjoyed this unique event and Wheelchairs also distributed to the needy PWDs.
