SHAPE-SEA Research Grants Programme 2017

Greetings of Peace from SHAPE-SEA Secretariat!

SHAPE-SEA (Strengthening Human Rights and Peace Research/Education in ASEAN/Southeast Asia) was borne out of a desire by Southeast Asian human rights and peace scholars to establish ways to develop or strengthen capacities and knowledge of fellow academics working in the region. It is a joint programme of the ASEAN University Network- Human Rights Education Theme (AUN-HRE) and the Southeast Asian Human Rights Studies Network (SEAHRN). The programme is supported by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA)

SHAPE-SEA’s vision is to strengthen the protection and promotion of human rights and peace in Southeast Asia/ASEAN through education and research. It also aims to support research efforts that aim at contributing to the study of human rights and peace in Southeast Asia.

SHAPE-SEA’s Research Grants Programme 2017 (RGP 2017)’s main objective is to support scholars, academics and researchers in carrying out original, groundbreaking and innovative research projects leading to the promotion and protection of human rights & peace in Southeast Asia/ASEAN.

Deadline for all concept notes and referee forms is on 20 September 2016 (17:00 ICT/BKK Time). Please email all required documents to shapesea.rgp@gmail.com on or before the due date.
