World Civic Youth Forum 2009 (WCYF 2009)

Kyung Hee University is hosting "World Civic Youth Forum 2009" (WCYF 2009) on "Global Issues of the 21st Century and the Role of College Youth." The WCYF is held as part of, concurrently with, the World Civic Forum jointly initiated by Kyung Hee University and the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA). The WCYF 2009 will be held at the Global Campus of Kyung Hee University in Yongin-si, Gyeonggi-do, Republic of Korea, on May 5-8, 2009.

The WCYF is an intellectual and cultural global event where college youth gathered from around the world discuss and share their views and perspectives on the global issues such as peace, development, environment, human rights, gender equality, and culture. The primary goal of WCYF is for college youth to give a voice on global issues by gathering together, discussing on the global agendas, and searching for the solutions. The WCYF 2009 will also provide valuable opportunities for college youth like you to experience and understand diverse cultures, opinions, and views from different parts of the world. We strongly encourage college youth from around the world to partake in the WCYF 2009. We welcome inflow of young and creative perspectives from college youth on various global issues.

For your application for participating in the WCYF 2009, please refer to the following information.

2) All papers should be written and presented in English at the Forum, in full-paper or Microsoft PowerPoint format.

3) Deadline for Proposal Submissions: March 20, 2009 Deadline for Final Paper Submissions: April 19, 2009

6) For international participants, room and board are provided by the organizer of the WCYF 2009.

7) If necessary, some portion of the airfare can be supported by the WCYF organizer. The final amount of the support will be determined by the WCYF organizer.
