Voices From the Global South
Disabled People's International (DPI) is pleased to invite you to a side event titled "Voices from the Global South".
It is estimated that 80 percent of the world's population with disabilities lives in the Global South. Yet, there seems to be a dearth of leaders from the Global South at Forums that shape disability policies and dynamics worldwide. The Side Event will discourse on whether we need to consciously make an effort to ensure that we reach those people with disabilities who need our interventions the most and formulate strategies to get more and more voices from the South heard.
