Consultant-trainer on development and conducting trainings programs on disability understanding and employment for people with disabilities (PWD) Tashkent Uzbekistan

Background

The project aims to support the people with disabilities and promote their social and vocational integration into society through: raising awareness of general public, journalists and social workers on disability issues; strengthening the capacity of state and non-state agencies in joint activities on the implementation of national legislation in the field of disability; promoting accessible environment for people with disabilities; design and implementation of pilot model of social and legal assistance in employment of people with disabilities in pilot centers.

Description of duties and responsibilities

Under the direct supervision of Project Manager and in close cooperation with Research and training specialist the trainer-consultant will perform the following tasks and responsibilities:

Practical guidelines for trainings:

  1. In close cooperation with employment specialist and national consultant on employment develop training program and practical guideline on conducting of 3-day training for the specialists of Employment Centers, Medical-Vocational Expertise Committee and other involved structures on disability understanding and promotion of employment of PWD;
  2. In close cooperation with employment specialist and national consultant on employment develop training program and practical guideline on conducting of 4-day training on employment for graduates of specialized colleges;
  3. In close cooperation with employment specialist and national consultant on employment develop training program and practical guideline on conducting of 1-day training for potential employers on disability understanding and promotion of employment of PWD;

Trainings:

  1. Together with National consultant on employment conduct 3-day training for the specialists of Employment Centers, Medical-Vocational Expertise Committee and other involved structures on disability understanding and promotion of employment of PWD in three pilot regions of the project (Tashkent, Samarkand and Shahrisabz)
  2. Together with National consultant on employment conduct 1-day training for potential employers on disability understanding and promotion of employment of PWD in pilot regions of the project (Tashkent, Samarkand and Shahrisabz);
  3. Together with National consultant on employment conduct 5 trainings (4 days each) in Tashkent, 3 trainings (4 days each) in Samarkand on employment for graduates of specialized colleges;
  4. In cooperation with coordinator of club conduct 3-day training for representatives of Association of Business Women with Disabilities on disability understanding and development of action plans for 2009.
  5. Prepare training materials and handouts for training participants; 6. Provide final report within one week upon completion of the training event

EXPECTED OUTPUTS:

(each training practical guideline must contain detailed agenda of the training and description of goals and objectives, methods, expected results and exercises to be used in the training)
