Human Rights Awards 2009

Our Human Rights Awards recognise the achievements of organisations and individuals around the world who work at a grassroots level to promote human rights and change the things that cause people to be excluded, impoverished or disempowered.

Nominations are sought in four categories:

The closing date for nominations is Friday 3rd July 2009.

The Human Rights Awards celebrate the commitment and tenacity of these often unsung heroes by: raising the profile of the award-winnersโ€™ achievements; affirming the importance of work that seeks to change the things which cause people to be excluded, impoverished or disempowered; and promoting the importance of working with fundamental respect for all people, especially those who suffer poverty and injustice.

Further information about the awards, eligibility and guidance for making a nomination can be found in the guidance notes.
