My World: Let's Go for 1 Million Votes

We are pleased to communicate that with your support almost 800,000 citizens from 194 countries have already voted for the issues that would make the most difference to their lives.

We are also proud to share with you that the results from the survey and the numbers are already beginning to inform decision-making processes. Most recently the proposed goals recommended by The High Level Panel on the Post-2015 Development Agenda in the report โ€œA New Global Partnership: Eradicate Poverty and Transform Economies through Sustainable Developmentโ€ encompass all 16 of the priorities suggested in the My World survey. The top 5 priorities of My World (A good education; Better healthcare; An honest & responsive government; Better job opportunities and Access to clean water & sanitation) are present in the report and are featured as one of the 12 proposed universal goals.

MY World success would have not been possible without your help and the support of over 600 civil society organizations, youth groups, faith organizations, corporations and global personalities who have helped promote the MY World survey.

For all your efforts, we want to thank you.

In recognition, please see a personal thank you message from Amina J. Mohammed, the United Nations Secretary Generalโ€™s Special Advisor on the Post-2015 Agenda, recognizing the impact of the results gathered so far.

The work you have done is fantastic, but we still need your help gathering votes. We have a target of reaching one million votes by the UN General Assembly in September 2013. With your help we can bring the voices of people directly to world leaders and influence the next development agenda.

We kindly encourage you to continue promoting MY World in your communities and take advantage of all the resources available to you by visiting getinvolved.myworld2015.org

Lastly, we will invite all our partners to join us in a week of social media action from 2-8th September to rally your followers online to vote on the world they want. Stay tuned for more details and materials for this online push!
