PDF Weekly Update

Greetings from the Pacific Disability Forum!

PDF is currently having a marathon of meetings.

It started of with the CRPD Resource Team Meeting from the 22 - 26 of July 2013, then the Office Managers Training Workshop from the 29 of July - 2 of August 2013. Then the PDF Board Induction and Training will follow from the 5 - 9 August 2013.

The focus so far in this marathon of meetings is change. Change on how we as leaders can do things differently in a more effective and efficient manner. This is in terms of how we run our DPOs, and our strategic plans. Also important is how we approach governments, partners and stakeholders. PDF believes that it's important to create change in order to move a step up from where we are now in terms of achievements.

This week, we take a look at two of these marathon of meetings; an update from Te Toa Matoa; UN helps anti-violence campaign; people living with disability in PNG wanting to be part of 2015 Pacific games and disability in New Zealand - what does it look like?
