On Behalf of Sophie Plumridge of ADDC - update - International Day of People with Disability, 3 December - FINAL REMINDER

3 December is International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD), a United Nations sanctioned day that celebrates progress in breaking down barriers, opening doors, and realising an inclusive society for all. Disability organisations, businesses, governments and the community come together at events across the country to mark the occasion and celebrate the achievements of people with disability. The National Disability Awards at Parliament House recognise outstanding work of individuals and organisations that improve the lives of people with disability. Wearing the IDPwD ribbon, joining an online conversation, nominating someone for a National Disability Award, or attending or hosting an event are some of the ways you can get involved. International Day of People with Disability is an opportunity for the community to make positive changes to the lives of 4 million Australians.
