The Visitation of The Nippon Foundation

Disabled Peoples' International Asia Pacific (DPIAP) deeply appreciate to welcome the visitation of Three representatives from The Nippon Foundation on 24 September 2012, to learning the movement of Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) in national and regional level and DPIAP activities on goning and upcomming activities.

The Nippon Foundation is a private, non-profit grant-making organization, established in 1962 by Mr. Ryoichi Sasakawa, the late statesman and businessman. The foundation's mission also to support disabled persons movement, such as developing nations to pursue education at the same level as the general population. Also provided developing program of movement of countless people in Southeast Asia. The primary focus is to stimulate broad social change.

This meeting was a good opportunity, DPIAP sharing and present the activities and movement of PWDs in Asia Pacific region to Mr. Toshiro Mado (Senior manager International Porgram department), Mr. Yasunobu ishii (Director Disability Programs) and Mr. Shota nakayasu (Project Coordinator, Disability and Basic Human Needs Team International Program Department). Also this meeting will sharing the engaged of Disabled People Organization and DPIAP in nationl level and regional level.
