Human Rights Principles and NGO Accountability Online Forum

The International Council on Human Rights Policy invites you to participate in an online multilingual (English, French and Spanish) debating forum on Human Rights Principles and NGO Accountability ( http://www.ichrp.org/en/forum ).

NGO accountability is the subject of much controversy and its relationship with human rights principles merits further attention. The objective of the Forum is to capture the various perspectives, including areas of agreement and disagreement and help shed more light on this complex issue.

This Forum is intended to discuss how human rights principles and values influence the debate on NGO accountability. What does the human rights framework contribute to governance and management of NGOs? How does it determine the nature and limits of state regulation of civil society action? How can human rights values assist NGOs to navigate the complex relationships they have with their different constituencies?

The Online Forum is open to everyone and in addition to short invited contributions will also feature interviews.

The Online Forum will conclude later this year with an analytical report drawing on the discussions and the Councilโ€™s own research. We value and welcome your participation in the debate.
