Brazilian Study of the Profile of Tourists with Disabilities Technical Document - 2013
Preliminary data from the last (2010) census of the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estatรญstica; IBGE) shows that a large portion of the population has some type of disability. 23.9 % of the Brazilian population or 45,623,910 (forty five million, six hundred and twenty-three thousand, nine hundred and ten) persons have least one of the following deficiencies investigated in varying degrees of severity.
