Brief Introduction |
Welcome to the Korea Blind Union Web Site. The Korea Blind Union was formed in 1957 and has been supporting visually impaired people in Korea ever since. There are around 220,000 registered blind and partially sighted people in South Korea alone, and the number is expected to increase. The objective of the Korea Blind Union is to maximise the potential of a vision impaired person's physical, social and emotional environment so that each person may live comfortably improving their legal position and inculcating them with independence and self-respect within the general community. |
