Context :
As part of its reorganisation, Handicap Internationalโs Technical Resources Division is creating a โKnowledge managementโ unit, the head of which will answer directly to the divisionโs director.
His or her mission will consist in supporting the associationโs strategic goals and helping to develop productivity, quality and innovation. The Head of Unit will be expected to create the necessary conditions for the creation, sharing, renewal of and lesson-learning from the associationโs knowledge and know-how, thus making them a strategic asset.
Main duties and responsibilities :
You will therefore head a team of six people responsible for :
- formalising learning from field programmesโ experience
- managing on-line documentary resources
- pedagogy and training development
- organising thematic seminars
- providing support on professional publications
- providing support on studies and research
You will be responsible for:
- designing and developing the associationโs multi-annual strategy in the field of knowledge management : you will alert the board of directors to developments in your domain and will take part in drawing up strategic development priorities for the associationโs professional fields.
- implementing and overseeing knowledge management activities, and for their medium-term development, and you will be particularly vigilant concerning compliance with regulations, laws (e.g. intellectual property rights), and internal procedures.
- the financial management of activities under your responsibility by developing resources and seeking ways of making savings with the heads of the technical coordination units.
- the image of the knowledge management unit inside and outside the association : you will provide regular information in-house, negotiate service and partnership contracts and represent the association with third parties (collective professional bodies, inter-NGO meetings, media interviews, etc.).
Based in Lyons , you will undertake three to four brief missions abroad each year.
Experience and qualifications :
- You have a higher diploma in Communication, Corporate Management or Social Sciences
- You have significant experience in knowledge management within an organisation including a strong training program.
- You have significant experience in managing a team.
- You have demonstrated experience in communicating (written + oral) and mobilising people around a project.
- You are proficient in both spoken and written English and French.
Remuneration :
โฌ2700 to โฌ3100 gross per month over 12 months, depending on experience + Luncheon Vouchers + optional complementary health scheme.
