Cuba provides Jobs for Disabled
HAVANA, Feb 17 (NNN-PRENSA LATINA) โ Cuba guarantees employment to hundreds of disabled people with the running of 150 special workshops.
Members of the Cuban Association of Disabled People including the blind, deaf and hearing impaired and mentally retarded work at the centers.
The people who get benefits from the programme produce handicrafts from paper and natural fibers and textile apparels that have a high popular demand.
According to the National Information Agency, the provinces with the highest number of workshops are located in Havana city (21), Villa Clara (16), Matanzas (15) and Santiago de Cuba (15).
Cuba also offers jobs to the disabled in regular centers and they can also work freelance and from home. โ NNN-PRENSA LATINA
