World Down Syndrome Day

21 March 2013 marks the 8th anniversary of World Down Syndrome Day (WDSD), a day dedicated to advocating for the rights, inclusion and well being of people with Down syndrome, which is recognised by the United Nations and observed all over the world. The date 21.3 (or 3/21) symbolises the triplication of chromosome 21 which is unique to people with Down syndrome.

Down Syndrome International (DSi) hopes that once again you will join us in our efforts to raise awareness of this important day between now and 21 March. There are a number of ways you can get involved. Please visite our website at http://www.worlddownsyndromeday.org/
