DPI and AIDS-Free World video

Rachel and Steve worked with AIDS-Free World during the international aids conference in Mexico a few months ago. This partnership between DPI and AIDS-Free World saw a town hall meeting of persons with disabilities, HIV/AIDS service providers, and persons with HIV/AIDS. It called attention to the fact that persons with disabilities get HIV/AIDS too, but have largely been ignored by those who provide health and other support services to persons with HIV/AIDS. The town hall session was filmed and is available at the following link. Unfortunately, it is available only in English, but we hope to have funds at some point to make it available in French and Spanish as well.

The following link will take you to a web page on the AIDS-Free World site which lists the people involved with AIDS-Free World. Please note that Myroslava interned with DPI in South Africa where she worked with our National Assembly there to develop an HIV/AIDS strategy forpersons with disabilities. We are delighted that she is the focal point on disability with AIDS-Free World.
