CEDAW reporting schedule for 2010
There will be 3 sessions in 2010. The date, venue of the session and States scheduled to report are set out below:-
- 45th CEDAW session (18 January - 5 February 2010, Geneva): Botswana, Egypt, Malawi, Netherlands, Panama, Uzbekistan, United Arab Emirates, Ukraine.
- 46th CEDAW session (12 โ 30 July 2010, New York): Albania, Argentina, Australia, Fiji, Papua New Guinea, Russian Federation, Turkey, Central African Republic, Grenada, Seychelles.
- 47th CEDAW session (4 โ 22 October 2010, Geneva): Burkina Faso, Czech Republic, Malta, Tunisia, Uganda, Bahamas, Chad, Comoros, Lesotho.
Many of you would have received previous alerts about the 45th and 46th session. Your inputs and feedback have enabled us to contact relevant groups who are interested in engaging with the CEDAW review process - thank you!
**If you have networks / groups which you wish to put in contact with us for these sessions, we very much welcome your valuable input. **
We will be sending a more targeted email alerting NGOs about the latest schedule for the 47th CEDAW session which will be held in October 2010.
States that have submitted their reports (but not yet scheduled)
The following States have submitted their reports: Algeria, Belarus, Ethiopia, Israel, Kenya, Liechtenstein, Niger, Singapore, South Africa, Sri Lanka.
These States have yet to be scheduled, and will likely be slotted in 2011. Please do note that the CEDAW schedule is subject to change, so please do check the OHCHR website, or with us, from time to time, for the latest schedule.
