UN Survey on Impact of Economic Crisis on Civil Society Organizations

The Civil Society and Outreach Unit of the United Nations Secretariat's Division for Social Policy and Development invites your organization to take part in a survey on the current situation that local, national and international civil society organizations (CSOs) are facing as a result of the global economic and environmental crises. The results of the study will be published for advocacy use of CSOs and also made available at the next session of the UN Commission on Social Development. Answers to all questions will be kept totally confidential, in particular as questions are included on how the crises have impacted the resources available for programmes.

The link to the survey, which may be forwarded to members or partners, is (if the link does not work for any reasons, please copy the whole link and paste it into your web browser): https://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=fU2GqJbXEyUt7ZNseEwiww_3d_3d

Please complete the questionnaire as soon as possible, latest by 23 October 2009. If you cannot access the survey, please contact us at the address below.

As your organization may have affiliated offices with limited Internet access, we are including a shortened version of the survey in Word format that may be downloaded and distributed to your field offices, or to people who provide social services: http://www.un.org/esa/socdev/ngo/docs/UNQuestionnaire-English.doc. If you need to use this version, we would highly appreciate it, if you could collect these responses and complete the on-line version of the questionnaire on behalf of each of your affiliated constituents or partners, in addition to your own response.

Thank you very much for your participation!
