Job/Volunteering Opportunities: National Team Coach - Paralympic Committee - PNG

The Papua New Guinea Paralympic Committee, in cooperation with the National Sports Institute of PNG, seeks a National Team Coach to train the PNG's Paralympic team to prepare for the Commonwealth Games (India 2010), the World Championships ( Christchurch , January 2011) and prepare for the 2012 London Paralympic Games.

The PNG Paralympic committee works closely with the National Sports Institute of PNG based in Goroka and aims to promote the Paralympic movement for the equality of disable sports and people with a disability. The organisation also helps athletes with a disability to secure jobs in PNG.

Currently there is only one Paralympic coach in PNG, and the PNG Paralympic Committee is seeking a Level 3 coach to train the local team and the local coaches.

Volunteers will be provided with a living allowance, airfares, insurance and accommodation. Only citizens or permanent residents of Australia are eligible to apply for this assignment.
