The Commonwealth Foundation: Civil Society Advisory Committee Member

The Commonwealth Foundation is currently seeking seven civil society leaders willing to serve as representatives on the Commonwealth Foundation
CIVIL SOCIETY ADVISORY COMMITTEE (CSAC)
The CSAC is selected so as to ensure that it contributes to the development and implementation of the Foundationโs programme. It is broadly representative of the different regions of the Commonwealth and different sectors and constituencies of civil society; and maintains a balanced gender profile. Only nationals of Commonwealth Foundation member countries employed by or holding an honorary position in an established civil society organisation (including Commonwealth Associations) will be eligible to be a member of the CSAC.The Committee is comprised of fourteen members. Representation is currently required in the following Commonwealth regions / areas:
- 1 representative from Europe (non UK)
- 1 representative from Asia
- 1 representative from West Africa
- 2 representatives from the Caribbean and Canada (at least 1 non Canada)
- 1 representative from a Commonwealth Association
How to apply to become a member of the Commonwealth Foundation Civil Society Advisory Committee
- Read the details provided in the full vacancy description, below.
- Write a letter stating how you meet the Selection Criteria. Please give examples of how you have demonstrated the knowledge, skills and experience required.
- Send your letter together with a full CV and publications list, the names and contact details of two referees (including the Chair of your current organisation) and a completed Equal Opportunities Monitoring form to the address below.

Telephone Interviews will take place on 19 and 20 January 2010.
