Press Conference: Bangkok Sabai Walk Project on 23rd February, 2010 at Bangkok Art and Culture Centre, Bangkok, Thailand
Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, Chulalongkorn University, Disabled Peoples' International Asia-Pacific (DPI/AP), The Association of Siamese Architects Under Royal Patronage, Bangkok Art and Culture Centre, Thailand Creative & Design Center and Quiet Bangkok Club would like to invite to press conference of Bangkok Sabai Walk Project on 23 February 2010 at Bangkok Art and Culture Centre
Bangkok Sabai Walk Urban Design Competition challenges the Thai design community to re-think and improve the current urban environment street under the BTS Stations.
Objectives: The proposals must improve
- Walk ability: to make entire area completely accessible to all, improve access and mobility for pedestrians
- Cleaner air: to improve air quality to acceptable levels
- Better lighting: to improve lighting underneath the concrete structure
- Less noise: to reduce the level of noise pollution to acceptable levels
- Visual experience: to transform the existing space into an inspiring and visually pleasing place
