Help Flood Victims with Disabilities and their Families in Myanmar
Dear Colleagues and Friends,
Greetings from Myanmar Independent Living Initiative-MILI (Disabled People’s Organization).
Myanmar people need your attention and support especially for Persons with disability and their Families.
As you all known that Cyclone KOMEN and heavy torrential rains recently brought unprecedented large scale flooding and landslide all over the Myanmar since from late July, 2015. With this severe crisis, it is estimated that over 300,000 people in middle and west part of the country have affected by the Flood: many of them have lost their homes & properties and some of them have died. Currently, some Myanmar CSOs and International NGOs are again at the frontline of the rescue and humanitarian aid, and they are struggling to access flood-hit areas. Humanitarian aid is much urgently needed to save the lives.
