Mainstreaming and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities in Africa

The Training on Mainstreaming and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities in Africa for 2009 was first organized in Japan from 23 August - 17 September 2009 (first part) by Japan National Assembly of Disabled Peoples' International (DPI-Japan) and continued in Bangkok, Thailand from 18 - 26 September 2009 (second part) by Disabled Peoples' International Asia-Pacific (DPI/AP) and supported by Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). The theme of this year's training was addressing emerging social issues for the extension of the Continental Action Plan of the 2nd African Decade of Persons with Disabilities, which will be started from 2010 - 2019.
This year, there were 4 participants from 2 countries as follows:

- Mr. Zam Akoa Eric Bertrand, Cameroon
- Mr. SIMASIKU Cassia, Namibia
- Mr. Howaeb Manfred
