On 10th Saturday 2010 Bangkok Sabai Walk project associate with Siam Discovery, Siam Center, Siam Paragon and Siam Square organized the one day event to survey and workshop the competition area. The purpose of this event to promote the Bangkok Sabai Project and illuminate the design competition challenges concept to competitors.
The event divide in 2 section. Morning section, the Competitors Team and general public seperate to 3 groups and survey around Siam BTS on both sides of the street directly underneath the Siam BTS Station spanning an entire city block from Phaya Thai to Henri Dunant Roads with the representatives from Chulalongkorn University, Disabled Peoples' International Asia-Pacific (DPI/AP), The Association of Siamese Architects Under Royal Patronage and Thailand Creative & Design.
Afternoon section, start the workshop
- Total Bangkok (Thai Short Film) Peneak Ratanaruang: Total Bangkok: peoples who living in big city searching the place to playing football so they can form their own community to play football together by utilize the public space under Express way and setting to the football pitch that is the capitalize on public space of city furniture.
- Illuminate the competition criteria and overall design challenge by Professor Malina Faculty of Architecture Chulalongkorn University
- Universal Design by Ms. Kwanruthai Swangsri and Mr. Wansao Chaiyakul from Disabled Peoples' International Asia-Pacific
- Presentation of the design of footpath, public space and urban design in universal standard according to Thai context by Professor Prim Jhearmaneechotechai, Department of Urban and regional Planning Faculty of Architecture, Chulalongkorn University
- Summarize of the questionaire by Mr. Santi Opaspakornkij
- Statement form representative of Siam Square and Bangkok Metropolitan Administrator
