Disability Equality Training at Baan Khao Lak, Phang Nga, 28 June 2011

On 28 June 2011, Ban Khao Lak resort in collaboration with students of University of North Carolina and Disabled Peoples' International Asia Pacific organized half day training on Disability Equality Training and disability demonstration with staff of the hotel (Ban Khao Lak Resort, Khao Lak SeaView and La Flora Resort Khao Lak )and tour operator in Khao Lak Phang Nga to know eguality of humen and basic service for support tourism who are persons with disabilities.

The aims are to;

  1. Re thinking disability dimension in tourism industry.
  2. Sharing informational and Technical support to Hotel & Resort staff on how to deal and manage disability in tourism related places.
  3. Promoting accessible tourism and universal design.
  4. Observing tourist spots where there are accessible accommodation provided and set up draft of itinerary
  5. Strengthening a collaboration with University of North Carolina ( UNCL) and tour operators.

Kate & Joy students of University of North Carolina, for the great presentation on disabilities demonstration and Sharing informational and Technical support to Hotel & Resort staff on how to deal, manage and assist persons with disability in tourism related.
