Regional Conference on raising awareness of the ASEAN Disability Forum (ADF): A platform of engagement for DPOs and multi-stakeholders to promote and implement the ASEAN Decade of Persons with Disabilities March 28th- 31st, 2012 Phnom Penh Hotel, Phnom Penh, Cambodia
Cambodian Disabled People's Organization (CDPO) in collaboration Disabled Peoples' International Asia Pacific (DPIAP) will organize teh Regional Conference on raising awareness of the ASEAN Disability Forum (ADF). To promote the implementation of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) through ASEAN Decade of Persons with Disabilities, this conference sets the following objectives;
- To finalize ADF internal documents for accreditation by ASEAN Committee of Permanence Representatives (CPR);
- To increase knowledge, and awareness of the CRPD and World Report on Disability;
- To mainstream disability perspectives and recommendation into ACSC/APF outcome documents;
- To encourage all ASEAN governments to sign, ratify and implement the CRPD.
