Jakarta, 26 February 2013 - The Eighth Meeting of the ASEAN Commission on the Promotion and Protection of the Rights of Women and Children (ACWC) was convened on 17-18 February 2014 at the ASEAN Secretariat in Jakarta, Indonesia. The progress of twenty four projects and activities under the ACWC Work Plan 2012-2016 was reviewed at the Meeting. Led by Thailand, “stop violence against women” public campaign posters, pamphlets, stickers and VDOs were produced for dissemination to ASEAN Member States to commemorate the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women on 25 November.
