The PRO-ICAT 2011: Photo Competition on Accessible Tourism
Beautiful Gate Foundation for the Disabled, together with Disabled Peoplesโ International Asia Pacific, Malaysia Confederation of The Disabled and other disabilities related NGOs organized this first of its kind PRO-ICAT event in Malaysia. Photo Competition on Accessible Tourism is one of the activities and programs were designed to disseminate practical knowledge and information on accessible tourism as well as to create awareness towards accessible tourism and a barrier-free society to the public.
In Conjunction with the Theme "Accessible Tourism Promotes National development", regional photography contest on accessible tourism had commenced in August 2011 with the objectives of creating awareness in society to recognize the need of disabled friendly facilities, to accomplish full participation and equality of persons with disabilities and enhancing the integrative potential of disabled persons into the mainstream activities of society.
